I. Humble yourself. I Sam. 1: 3-9

John the Baptist said of Jesus,

He must increase and I must decrease. John 3:30

Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a humble spirit with the poor in spirit, then to live with the proud.

Prov. 16: 18-19

Therefore a rest remains for the people of God. For whoever enters His rest will also ceases from his works, as God did from His. Let us labor therefore to enter that rest.
