Basic Training for the Body
Fellowship Part II: Conflict and Correction
Matt. 18:15-20, I John 1:5-10
Pew Bible Pg.799,989
I. Within the body of Jesus Christ, conflict is inevitable.
A. We are saints who still sin, although it should be less and less.
B. Unity does not mean uniformity.
II. True fellowship within the church family also means correction is necessary at times.
A. Love is demonstrated in this way.
B. The desired end result is deeper fellowship.
III. Fellowship within the family of God should be balanced between communion and correction, conflict and kindness.
Am I a conflict dreader/avoider, or do I find myself to be a conflict seeker?
Do I see correction as an act of love within the body of believers?
What is one step I can take to deepen the fellowship I have with my church family?
